What I get from this is: The parents' tough attitude didn't help, and neither did the kid's tough attitude. The media didn't help by painting the case with colors. The "supporters" didn't help by taking the bait.
The kid did a horrible thing, and everyone patted him on the back for
it. The people who have nothing better to do that whip out their credit cards gave so much money to the parents that the money went to their heads. Just an all around sh!tty and layered situation.

I thought about a lengthy response and then I realized I have no more F**ks to give on this case.

I said weeks and even months ago on this case that there should have been a plea deal.

If I was the father of a boy who killed an other, and admitted he did it, I would ask a lawyer about the evidence they have. <--- Called Discovery.

Everyone concerned knew about the evidence for some time now, well before the court case.

I know that a plea deal the boy would have to plead guilty... but if you couple that with some remorse thing may have worked out differently. He might have only got a manslaughter charge and looked a few years in jail instead of 35 Years.

If he owned up to what he did, said he never meant to kill him something might have worked out differently... Ohhhh Thats right he never took the stand to let people know what he was thinking at the time. He called a few witnesses and one of them, a friend, called him out and said he shouldn't have did what he did.

The parents were interviewed after the trial and they doubled and tripled down on the race issue. The young lad made a statement that he was found guilty because his lawyer was white.

It looks like no one learned, sorry leared, anything.

They have appealed the case... the appeals court looks at LAW and not case facts and it looks like its over for him on this case...

The PARENTS cost the boy ~20 extra years.

They spent all 650K and may have to go back on food stamps.

They should have used some of the 650K and paid for the funeral.

Prison is not going to be a good thing and he's there for up to 35 years.
